Achillea millefolium (White Yarrow) Native
Any Achillea millefolium is worth having. Both medicinal and supporting many of the tiniest native bees, beneficial insects, and moths; it’s umbels are the structure that holds numerous small flowers. Here at Vitalbeebuds the classic white and pink for a little while to start. We are not certain whether the pink shows mineral detection in the soil but it is beautiful to watch the evolution.
In the Vitalbeebuds landscape the plant behaves best in the spaces that have no supplemental water but does like consistent moisture it’s first year. It can be controlled easily by following the one-thirds, two-thirds rule. Keep 1/3 for the birds and remove and place 2/3 of the flower stems in a debris sculpture.
